Hi, I’m Laza!

I am more than just a driver or tour guide—I am your local travel partner in Madagascar. My goal is to create a personalized itinerary that matches your interests, travel style, and expectations.
Whether you dream of seeing Madagascar’s unique wildlife, meeting local communities, exploring spectacular landscapes, or discovering hidden places far from the crowds, I am here to make your journey truly unforgettable.
Let’s go beyond the typical tourist routes and discover the authentic Madagascar together. With my passion, local knowledge, and years of experience, I will help you experience the island in a way that few travelers do.
I love what I do and take great pride in sharing the best of my country: its incredible biodiversity, welcoming Malagasy culture, and breathtaking natural beauty.

MY STORY

My passion for tourism began at a very young age. Even in primary school, when teachers asked what I wanted to become in the future, I always answered confidently: “A tour guide and driver.”
However, the road to achieving that dream was not easy. While studying Tourism at university, financial difficulties forced me to leave my studies during my second year. Rather than giving up, I chose to continue learning on my own. Through dedication, self-study, and practical experience, I developed the skills needed to pursue my dream.
In 2022, I began working as a local guide at the Tsimbazaza Botanical and Zoological Park in Antananarivo. There, I had the opportunity to meet travelers from around the world. Many visitors appreciated my knowledge and enthusiasm and invited me to guide them beyond the capital to some of Madagascar’s most iconic destinations, including Baobab Avenue, Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park, and Andasibe National Park.
Those experiences opened the door to a professional career in tourism and inspired me to continue growing as a guide.

PROFESSIONAL TOUR GUIDE EXPERIENCE

To further improve my guiding skills, I participated in professional training programs organized by Madagascar’s Ministry of Tourism. Following this training, I was selected from hundreds of candidates to become a trainee guide at ORTANA (Regional Tourism Office of Analamanga), where I gained valuable experience working with visitors from all over the world.
Today, I guide and drive travelers throughout Madagascar—from the northern tip of the island to the far south. Few guides have explored and worked across such a wide range of destinations, ecosystems, and cultural regions.
Every tour is an opportunity to share my passion for Madagascar while helping visitors create memories that last a lifetime.

COMMITMENT TO WILDLIFE CONSERVATION

Madagascar is one of the world’s most extraordinary biodiversity hotspots. Nearly 90% of its plant species and around 70% of its animal species are found nowhere else on Earth.
Yet many Malagasy people have never had the opportunity to visit a national park or discover the incredible wildlife that exists in their own country.
For me, conservation begins with education. Since 2020, I have dedicated part of my time at Tsimbazaza Botanical and Zoological Park to organizing educational activities for local families, students, associations, and school groups.
Each week, I present an endemic species of plant or animal, explaining its unique characteristics, ecological importance, and role in Madagascar’s natural heritage. I also organize guided visits for students, especially children attending public schools, helping them learn about the extraordinary biodiversity of their island.
By raising awareness and inspiring curiosity, I hope to encourage future generations to protect Madagascar’s unique wildlife and natural habitats.
